How the program works:

The referral sheets will be presented to the potential patients at the Dekalb emergency room or some PCP offices. Our target patients are auto injuries (and possibly uncomplicated neck & back pain patients). This can also be marketed to other injury professionals and doctors.

The potential patient will call the phone number listed on the handout. The call will be candled by an answering service.

The answering service will take all the necessary information and forward that information to the chiropractors office based on area or zip code. The referrals will be made unbiasedly by the answering service not another doctors office.

(Please note that the answering service charges based on the number of minutes they are on the phone....so please do not call the number. We get 500 minutes a month. If it goes over 500 minutes we will have more costs to share. It would be a good problem to have if we have to increase the number of minutes because of all the new patients calling. It would not be a productive thing if we had to increase the number of minutes because the doctors keep calling to see how the calls are handled.)

The cost of printing the referral pads and the answering service will be shared by the entire group. The total cost of the program (per clinic) is approximately $230.00 for the year. This is a one time fee to cover the basic cost of the program (answering service and printing costs).

The answering service is a 3rd party not associated with any clinic. The answering service will take the potential patients demographics and forward the information based on area (city or zip code).  The goals is to create an independent but mutually beneficial network of chiropractors and to keep the costs down.

The program goes live October 19th 2010.
